this past weekend i installed the silver bullet catback.all i can say is wow what a sound difference from stock. truck sounds almost as loud as my previous full exhaust cobra did. ive heard of people having problems with this catback rusting but when i picked it up they told me the new ones were all stainless. i was wondering what u do to keep yours in top shape?? wax the tips every time you wash your truck ?? thanks

 

Their are different grades of STAINLESS ! I think the WAX might melt quicker than, say WD-40 !

 

i have the same system, i havent seen any signs of rust, 1 summer, and one michigan winter so far, but i take my ground effects and tips off for the winter, the tips do get pretty beat up though, so when i take them off i do what you would do on a color sanding, for the paint, 2000 wet sand the stainless, then fine cut compound with a polisher, and a coat of wax before they go back on for the summer, this seem to keep the tips shiney, and gets rid of minor rock nicks and the road tar and such that is thrown up from the tires, but, as for the under truck stuff it is dirty but no signs of rust..
