Chip problem or ...?????

Last time at the dyno something happened that was strange. On my second pull the truck shut down half way through. No check engine light, no misfiring etc. Just shut down. Started it up again and ran fine. No detonation..nothing. At the track last week on my final run, I blew my boost gauge line half way down the track. Are the 2 connected? I don't know why I would blow that line, or why the truck would just shut down, and then start up fine. Any thoughts? The truck did the same thing on a previous dyno pull, but I have swapped out the chip with a better program.

Has anyone had a bad PCM? I don't think it is the chip, but I just don't know......

your boost gage has no connection with the chip. The boost gage is 100% mechanical....Sounds like some sort of fuel problem maybe?? .JR

I thought so as well, but my fuel pressure gauge indicates everything is running fine....35-40psi at idle, 55-58psi at WOT....maybe a faulty PCM unit?

you have the same problem with both chips? Do you have the chip taped in good? I know you probably have checked these things, just offering a suggestion.....JR

I have run into EMI or RFI problems with my truck, as matter of fact it is damn sensitive to it. I can't seem to run certain types of spark plugs and it is best with just a single chip or no chip at all. It the computer chip has a cable with a switch on it then it is suspect.

The worst the shut down problem ever was happened when I put a set of non resister spark plugs in it, when you step on the pedal it felt like you reached over and turn the key off.
