a nice "Built from the factory" shortblock like the cobra would be great, a factory twin screw blower, 3 valve heads, and a nice set of 18's or 20's. keeping the same modibility would be nice and of course it all comes down to the price tags, current lightnings sticker at 35k and can be had much less, so If I can drive off the lot for 35-36k that would be the selling point.

COST IS a big issue that i forgot. if they price i out of reach,They will not make money on the truck.SVT just started to make a profit(so i hear) and i hope they do the right thing.I think 38k is ALOT for a 2wd pick up.I would pay it though but no more.I think the reason they sell so may NOW is because 90% of dealers are selling them MUCH below sticker these days.Ya when they were $29k in 99 people would pay sticker but the prices have skyrocketed in 5 years resulting in a $34k truck with minimal changes.

I guess that I am in the minority on this, but I need the seating for three. If there is only room for two then I guess that my next truck will have to be a dodge. I would personally rather see a paddle type of shift with the automatic. Make it electronic push button shift with the steering wheel mounted paddles so that the arcaic shift column can go away and I'm in(or so the wife says).

I need the seating too. That is the only reason I didn't buy a Syclone back in the day. I kept my Shelby Dakota because it could seat three across. I think the expediton console mod is cool but I bet the majority of L owner would rather have the seating.

Put a decent stereo in the Gen 3 and keep the weight along with the price down.

I want the console, but I think it should be an option. I'd also like to see a paddle shifter option. I also think they should offer current L owners a $5K customer loyalty bonus off the Gen3.

I wasn't there, but I do have a few things I know about the tranny, and I ain't allowed to tell either, but I think you'll like it, a lot.

The 5R110W is one heckuva tranny, the best auto that Ford has ever made, period, and the L model is really neato, even for one of them.

Since others are posting their wish lists, and since Ford may read these boards, here is my wish list...
-Seating for 3, at least as an option.
-Automatic Tranny or Paddle Shifter.
-Better factory sound system, or at least as an option.
-More Power.
By the way, Ford, I have three other Blue Ovals in my driveway in addition to the Lightning.
I eagerly await the next Generation!

I would like to see a smaller truck something between the Ranger and Lightning size! And not be priced over $34000.

I started transfering $200 out every paycheck into my SVT fund about six months ago. I should be ready when the new ones hit the market

The hardest thing will be selling my present "L"
