HELP!! Alignment problems

ok, I've had the roush kit on for about a year now, don't ask but I'm just getting it aligned now, or trying, all the shops I have tried said "it's not possible" to align the truck b/c it is lowered. WTF is going on? are these people stupid? where did all you guys with lowered trucks get them aligned? I already have the cam bolts installed. can't it just be put back to stock specs?

Somebody's jerking your chain ...

The only problem may be that they don't DO
lowered vehicles because they have an older machine
and the truck physically can't be driven up onto it.

It's certainly not because of the kit ... they got mine
spot on the first time and I have been running two
years with it with very little tire wear in the front.

I have one degree of camber and thinking about going to 2.

Find a PROFESSIONAL alignment shop (Not SEARS
or CHAIN store) and you shouldn't have any problem.

Good Luck ...

I told the alignment shop that I had a spec sheet, and they all told me those specs don't apply to lowered vehicles. one guy said he could do it but his machine wouldnt fit 18 in wheels. and some guys said it was "impossible" to align the truck! but anyways I just got my 555r's mounted and the tire guy new a shop that could do it, i'll try them tommorrow.

Ford just did mine. They had to put a cam kit in to do it. If they don’t have the right machine for a 18's wheel then I wouldn’t get it done there. The only why they could do it was be my measuring and that’s not very accurate. I would take it to ford. They do alignments for 29.95.

Those guys are full of chit, my truck is lowered 2/4 and I already have the cam bolts installed also, I bought 4 new F1`s and had an alignment done about 2 weeks ago and the tire shop didn`t have any problems getting it back to factory settings.

yeah, I may try going to a local dealership, non-svt but I'll give them a call tommorrow, I'm almost out of warranty anyways, 2 1/2 years only 14k miles though. I must just live in a crappy area where no one is skilled enough to do a proper alignment.

Yeah some dont know what the hell they are doing.

There was a tireplus place here that told me I needed a new idle arm. I was like no way. I took it to ford and they said it was fine.
