Arrow Need some Advice!

Hey guys. I am wondering whats going on with my L and I need some help from you guys to figure it out.

OK....The L at idle rpms move slightly from 500 to 600. Just up and down a little, so I guess you could say she is missing. I slightly get on it and it misses a little, but at WOT I cant feel it. When I am driving around 65mph I can feel the miss.

I changed the plugs not to long ago and it has been doing fine for 4k miles.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks aaron

Geeez, ...not everyone is perfect. And about your problem, when is the last time you changed the fuel filter, mass air could be getting screw up too. Maybe a plug went bad.

EASY, JUNIOR!

I change the fuel filter every oil chage (1000 miles, Mobil One). The plugs are checked avery 1000 mles as well.

How would your MAF be messed up, other than grossly excessive oil on a K&N, or the VEEEEERY rare mechanical MAF failure?

Go to bed. As I racall, (WAAAAAY back in the hazy recesses), the 10th grade is a BIZZNITCH, even for the well-rested.

Maybe he does have a filter that was oiled to much, how do you know...man sorry if your not going to help a fellow L owner out, than don't....get some ***, take a chill pill, do something.

Easy Silver, You pop off to a guy about spell check, then in your reply you use words like avery, chage, and racall. Just an opinion but looks like its you that needs spell check. Judging from some of your other replies (i.e. what is boost bypass?) an attitude check is also needed. What did these people do to you to deserve to be treated this way? I'm not trying to run you down, but we're just a bunch of people having fun with our trucks and an arrogant attitude is just not fun for anyone. Chill out and have fun! There is no need to be rude on here. You've got a great truck that ought to make you happy not pissy. As you should know correction is one of the greatest ways of learning. I hope you are mature enough to take it and learn from it instead of getting bent about it. I'm sure you're a very nice guy, maybe today was just a bad day. Best of luck to you with your truck.

1000 mile oil change? hahahahaa, oil salesmens dream.

As for fouled maf, they are actually quite common from K&N filters.

and quit acting like an ***.

As for your problem. it could be a miss from plugs or coils but do you have a ses light or anything like that?

Searching idle is typically a IAC issue, perhaps you actually have 2 seperate issues.

Silver-Y2K-SVT- You need to grow up and act like a adult. I had a bad night and I am sorry if being correct on everything in my post wasnt on my mind. I saw where you yourself had some grammar issues as well.

I would like say thanks for everybody that was trying to help me with my problem.

I change my fuel filter every other oil change and I just changed it about 4k miles ago.

I havent checked my plugs or coils. I dont have a engine like on. It doesnt backfire any.

It seems like it started doing it after I fliped over to side 2 of my flip chip. Side 2 is the aggresive side.

Anymore thoughts?

grinomyte, is the searching idle issue also common on deceleration? I've been noticing it more here lately. 100 rpm surges upwards are typical during deceleration (usually between 800-1200rpm), but on occasion, the truck revs up about 500 without my foot even on the gas. What gives?

i implied two seperate issues because maybe the idle and the other issue was seperate. IAC issue doesnt affect anything but idle as far as i have seen,

Do you have a stock throttle body?

I dunno it kinda sounds like it could be an iac problem but its a strange one. Maybe just replace it and see if it helps your problem, if not just return it.
