Porting Eatons
Here is one dyno comparison that I know of. This is a local kid who went with Wes to save some money. He was told by Wes that not only is it the same port job, but also that Wes himself had watched Brian port the superchargers.
Here is Scotts before Wes porting Dyno
Here is Scotts after Wes Porting Dyno

It looks like he gained about 8-10 H.P. and lost about 10lbs of torque.
Rocks

Brian, I appreciate your opinion and truly value any comments you have to say about Ported Eatons. Yes I made up the name WASP, and as most of us know Wes (or the Wasp II) no longer looks like mine. (now it looks even more like yours,
)
Well it's does.....
There is no doubt in my mind, that you and your company (APTEN)
have many years of R+D, blood and sweat into the proper porting
for the S/C's you specialize in modifying.
My hats off to you for that
and I'm sure there is some power to be made in all that R+D
All I can say is, after the install of the WASP, the Diff was night and day and immediatly felt. The Boost is outright amazing, I have 10-12lbs of boost at 1/4 throttle, and every bit
of 15/16 at WOT using a 4lb Pulley ONLY, (not warm enough for my upper pulley to go back on yet, BUT SOON
)
When you stab it, the Eaton just pulls and pulls and continues to pull LIKE IT NEVER DID BEFORE. Best $300.00 I ever spent.
Had Apten been willing to show me pic's of something I was about to buy, I may have wen't with it in the first place, but weather I got the port jobs of port jobs or not, I did get something that added serious power sound and boost to my Beast, and I have no regrets at all.
As for you Gator, your gonna need the extra Power, cause I'm still gonna WHOOP YO ***, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....
Unfortunatly, thanks to YOUR lack of plannning, AND NOT ANSWERING YOUR E-MAILS, it may not be at Cecil.......
I'M NOT HAPPY @ THAT,
but no more openning's, missed deadlines, and I wrote and got no response (don't even know if I could make it now anyway, things are real crazy over here right now ???

BTW
Funny how you guys forgot to mention Scotts Boost wasn't working because of a problem HE LATER FOUND AFTER THE DYNO.
And even more funny how you forgot to mention he has a post right now about him going to the track yesterday and running
the best ever ET's one after the next, and he's now in the 12's, AND STILL HASN'T COMPLETELY FIXED HIS PROBLEM
(he's doing that next weekend I believe he said)
Bet he's happy as a pig in schitt right now, HE SHOULD BE
I talk to him fairly often on private e-mails

I've talked to Wes through email, Brian in person, and a few other vendors. I haven't went with any of them yet, but I found them all to be knowledgable about the product and responsive to questions.
I think the bottom line is if price wasn't a factor, everyone would go Apten. I believe in their engineering and that their design will get the last drop of potential horsepower. What is hard to find info on is how much is the difference. If it is 3HP for $300 more, that wouldn't be worth it to me.
The other aspect is reliability and warranty. I'm interested to see deep into the race season if any of the blowers start to fail. Maybe none will or maybe a specific design will be more prone to failure.
Anyway, I'm taking a wait and see approach.

NO to all you smartazzs, i'm dropping out of this thread because i'll get banned otherwise.........read between the lines on that......in the rules its says no vendor bashing or putting vendors down.........i do not advertise any service and will not. the only reason people send me blowers is because other people have talked good about them.......so trash me all you want, (the few of you who are)...all it will do is make my name bigger....i've gotten near 100 emails in the last two months just because of people saying they were pleased with there blowers, or they liked the one i did for myself.. Like i said, i got a job..this is just some side money to me. Everyone who sends me a blower knows that. I'm sure not everybody who has received the apten job hasnt been 100% satisfied. i've seen where it only did 18 hp on a truck in a post here about a month ago...i'm sure he was mad that he didn't get the advertised 30-40... BIG DEAL>>>>>not everyone will be happy or get the same results. and DYNO DYNO DYNO.....this place sounds like supra forums...track times are where its at , and i think scott is happy with his new times.

why would i even say such a stupid thing....i live in alabama, i'm sure not gonna go watch brian port a supercharger, if im not mistaken , he doesnt even do the porting. he just represents it or something. maybe they should put you on the pay roll.....
Hey Rob, Seat of the pants can be misleading, I added headers and high flow cats and the truck feels faster but alot of that has to do with sound. Until I run at the track or dyno I wont know crap, Have you Dyno'd or run yet ?
Wes
Youve advertised under the radar or in a grey area for months now, I dont understand what would make you stop now. Im sure as long as you gave info from the point of view as it applies to your charger on your truck the moderators wouldnt mind. If you have no facts to back your product I also understand your position

I have since corrected the problem with a Kenne Bell and JDM built lower end....oh yeah...50lb injectors and twin 255's. That should get it all fixed up...LOL.
My Apten now sits on a 03 DSG lightning...he is now busting nuts with it...LOL

I have no interest in Dyno #'s, ET's is what it's about to me.
Seat of the pants may be misleading, but Extra Power, Extra Boost, and Extra Lose Of Control is no imagination.
BELIEVE ME THE WASP KICKS ***, and it added MUCH POWER,
there is no mistaken it
BTW here's some interesting reading from Scott

Anyway, here is whats happening
I sent my blower off to get ported, got it back last WED and installed it... the port and installation went great... couldnt be better..
but when I took it out for my test drive, i noticed something wasnt right... its not driving good at all.
** by the way, i did the boost bypass mod AND the plug is unplugged**
now, when I stomp on it and get to full WOT sometimes I will not even get any boost at all.. it will stay at "0" on my boost guage and the pedal feels real heavy...
then I will try again and see about 11-12 (but i figure i should be about 14) on my boost guage... its very inconsistant.. sometimes i get boost, sometimes I dont... its that simple...
well, Saturday I took it to the dyno and my first run was like 305... obviously no boost... well the guy kinda wiggles the rod on the boost actuator a little and then my next run was 396.... but I still think i should be higher than that... i was thinking i would be around 410...
anyway, so im thinking in shipping, my boost actuator got bumped or something and its sticking now... not giving me all my boost or none at all...
so my question is... is there a way to fix this, or should I just replace the whole rubber boost atuator??? can I do the installation without removing the entire SC again??
thanks guys..

so i started up the truck and let it sit at idle, that rod didnt move at all... i then moved the throttle body cable to rev the engine a little... and then i reved it ALOT... and that rod never even moved

well im at work, so i dont have alot of time to play with it... but i just took it around the block.... i dont know if its all of a sudden fixed or if its just a coincidence (because it would work sometimes and not sometimes) but this time it worked.... i got it up to about 12lbs boost on my autometer guage... but my stock guage looked to maybe be a little higher... it was pointing to about 10oclock...
im a little curious.... with the ported eaton, dont people usually gain about 2-3??? i figure i should be 14-15....
