Going to the track tonight, need some advice
hello all,
well i have a 2004L with a ram air i made this weekend. i also have the k&n drop in. My ramair uses a 3x6 inlet and a 4inch hose. do you think this is to big? also i have heard people say with the k%n and ramair their boost goes past 10. highest i have seen is like 9. is this normal? i have done the boost bypass mod. is it possible a hose is kinked or something? also do i need another hole in the airbox for air thats not being used? so the air is not being shoved down the intake to fast? or is this not needed. thanx for the help. also does 25psi sound good on f1's for the rear?

The difference in boost is likely due to temperatures. Being in AZ, you are warmer than most guys in the north. I have found that 20-30 degrees of temp. drop will push boost up by around 1psi. Plus the stock boost gage isn't really that accurate, so that could be some of the difference.
25psi for F1's sounds fine. I have run 28 in the past, but am going to try 25 this spring.

air intake is fine, for the rear tires, if you have an air tank or source near the track to refill tires after start at 27 for a couple runs if it's spinning , then drop to 25 for couple more if needed drop to 23 just play with it , every tracks differant, HAVE FUN
