Cool How Much Boost For You Eaton Guys

For you guys that are running the stock Eaton or ported Eaton with a built motor what is the most boost that everybody thinks is the limit to run that you will still pick up E.T and MPH in good weather conditions? Not worried about overspinning the blower or making peak HP numbers on the dyno just gaining E.T to where more boost will not help anymore. I am guessing around 17 pounds but would like some of your guys input on this. Thanks!

it is an EXCEL spread sheet.

This is for the stock (UNPORTED Eaton Blower)
you can change pulley size in the last column for your custom application.

( I didn't make it, and I don't know who did, so I can't give proprs to whoever made it )

High Roller, everything I've seen is right around 16-17 on stock engine and blower as you stated. Then it seems that so much heat is being created by the blower that it's self defeating.

I run an 8lb lower 1lb upper combo and a ported blower and see 17lbs. I have ported and polished heads and 1mm oversized valves and longtubes/high flows however

What pulley combo is most common to achieve 16-17 pounds on a Lightning? I know a few guys running around with 8 pound lower and 2.80 upper running good numbers would that be the best or maximum setup for boost with a built motor on a eaton blower? I am trying to set my car up with the maximum boost on my ported eaton without running to much and not helping because off all the added heat it creates.Right now i am at 17 pounds of boost with a 2.93 upper and 4 pound lower and it runs real strong and i know the Lightnings have been running higher boost longer than the 03 cobras guys and they would definitely know where the limit would be with the heaton

yes the eaton creates a ton of heat the faster you spin it.

that is why you need something like this for $175 to eliminate that heat

With a 4lb lower, 2.8 upper and a REM Ported SC I am getting a solid 16lb down the 1/4 track.
