Bad Coil Pac?

Bad Coil Pac?

Well changed my plugs this weekend. The number 7 and 8 plugs (drivers side, last 2 from back) where toasted. Then ends were cracked off and all burnt up. They were denxo It22 , I swapped them for the NKG BR7.

I gapped them at .032, the car runs much better but still not 100%. It still feels like it is running ruff at idle, and under lite acceleration it is hesitating (from like 35-60mph) , at WOT it feels fine.

3 of the Coil pacs looked a little discolored. Looked like they were burnt up. How can I tell if they are bad? What could cause the car to hesitate, could it be the gap?

Thanks

I checked mine with a volt meter. Found one that was out of spec and replaced with a Grand Auto brand. Runs smoother at low idle now. I cannot remember the resistance readings but if you have a shop manual it should spell it out. I will check when I get home and post the info later.

If you have a bad coilpack it should send a check engine light and code to the computer for a miss in cylinder.

i had a bad coil pack and my engine light never came on
my engine would idle fine but when i would gave it gas it would just shake

so you might have a damage coil pack and the computer not giving any codes
