Talking Wow, they were just dull...

Okay, had my HRE's for a few weeks, and I've never owned polished aluminum wheels before...here I was thinking they were just "duller" then chrome, but today when I was using Mother's to clean off some brakedust, pow! They mirrored up.

Sooo...it looks like the original owner never ever polished the wheels. One can of Mother's and 4 terri-cloth towels later, I need some shades.

What's the name of that aluminum polish protector again? Zooks? Gak? Some funky name...I'd like to pic a can of it up.

I see somebody else has filthy fingernails for the next couple of days as well. Four wheels and my exhaust tips done; but, the girlfriend is talking manicure.

(Dead-pan)It ain't gonna happen.

Oh yeah.... That would be "Zoop Seal," I believe. I saw the Guy on "Trucks" do it once. Stacy? It looked like a pain in the *** to do it right. The tires have to be off the wheels so you can manage them easily; and, you have to clean them with distilled water prior to sealing them. I think I would just as soon polish them every once in a while.

No question, the polished wheels are a lot more work than chrome, but they look so cool when they're clean.

Nice Job
