5.4 stroker

can any of you guys help me out? i am planning on building up my motor by using the mode max stroker kit.
i was wondering if any of you have used it before? how much power have you gained. are there any cheaper kits out there. thanks for any input.

correct me if I am wrong,

but the 5.4 is a stroked 4.6

the only person I know with a stroked 5.4 is Johnny Lightning.
He sells a kit, but it is crazy expensive.

he maybe able to assist you avoid pitfalls he encountered

If you go to 6.0 liters, you will need to replace
your pistons two or three times a year. Since
the 5.4 is already stroked, the side wear on them
should be horrendus.

Forget stroking it, go with a bigbore instead. Increasing the bore unshrouds the valves helping to produce even more power due to better head flow. As others have said Piston speed on these motors is crazy and the skirts really take a beating.

Any of the Mustang shops can hook you up.

Then why when you look for pistons they fit in 4.6 or 5.4, the same piston?

Yes the 5.4 is a stroked 4.6, the 4.6 has a 90mm Stroke while the 5.4 has a 106mm stroke. However the deck height is different on the block as well.

since it shares the same bore diameter. just like the 302 shares the same bore diameter as the 351.

WELL FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD THE 5.4 BLOCK IS 2.5 INCHES WIDER AND A LITTLE TALLER THAN THE 4.6 BLOCK. THE KIT BASICLY GETS THE CUBES FROM THE NEW CRANK, BUT I WILL ALSO GET THE PISTON BORED .020 OVER. I'M ALSO GETTING THE HEADS PORTED W/ COMP CAMS STAGE 3 CAMS. IT'S ALL A BIT PRICEY BUT I NEED A BIT MORE TQ.

SO FAR MT TRUCK MADE 410/550 TO THE WHEELS ON A MUSTANG DYNO, I THINK THATS PRETTY BADASS FOR A REGULAR F-150.

YOU GUYS KICK ***! IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE IDEAS FOR ME PLEASE KEEP THEM COMMING

Turn the caps off Seriously there is way more power to be had in a bigbore than a stroker, like other said the pistons will wear fast.

Rusty has a stroker kit in his. He has had so so luck with his. When i was talking about building one he said if he had it to do over again he wouldn't stroke it. He said he didn't think it was worth the money.

Some people think it's hard to read all caps and it is considered
to be SHOUTING. Just something that the etiquette of the internet
finds to irritate newbies.
