A little more Air/Fuel Gauge help...
Well I got everything installed...
Lo-Tek 2 gauge pod
Autometer Lunar A/F (gadgetseller modified)
Autometer Boost
but there's just one problem...the A/F gauge doesn't work?? Everything else works fine (boost gauge, backlights, etc..) and there's no smoke anywhere, so I cant figure it out.
The only two things I can think of are that I used the wrong fuse I used for a power source...
this is the one I used, I got this off of Tim Skelton's site, I think he has a 02, I have an 03, would that make a difference?
or maybe it's because I crimped the connection wires for the O2 sensor instead of soldering, would that make enough of a difference to make the signal too weak for the gauge to read?
thanks for the help guys, I'm lost...

If the backlight works on the A/F guage then it most likely is another problem.
Are you sure you have it wired to the correct wire on the o2 sensor?
As long as the 2 wires make a good contact with eachother, crimping vs. soldering will not make to much of a difference.

I used this pigtail from ls1spped.com
I went back today and soldered the two connections on the sensor wire, and still nothing...everything else still works, and i read the power wire out, its getting 12vdc...
im thinking about leaving the gauge out and reading the O2 sensor wire while Im at WOT to see what its reading...what do you think?

Do you have a multimeter? If so check that the incoming signal from the o2 sensor to the A/F guage is giving a signal.
If not that most likely is your problem. If there is a signal then probably a defective guage.

My gauges are on the way, but I have a ? Is this pig tail required or can you just splice into the correct wire? Dont mean to high jack your thread, just thought I would ask since we are on the subject.
Thanks
you can splice, I just bought the pigtail because I thought it would make it easier. I talked to the guy who sold me the gauge and he thinks the same as captainoblivious, so Im going to try to read the O2 sensor wire, and if it's not reading correctly, then its that, if ot, then new gauge...

sorry to steal your post, but seems like a perfect change.... i currently have a Autometer AF guage and it was installed in a tripod when I bought the truck, iv never looked at the install, but curious if its on par with everyone elses...
i know these things arent supposed to be very acurate.... but mine is FAR from useful. it literally goes from left-right non stop... no matter if im at idle or at WOT, it does the exact same thing... never stops bouncing....
like i said, i know its not very acurate... but is this normal?
