I beleive detonation is when the fuel air mixture explodes violently and unevenly throughout the cylinder instead of burning and creating an even flame front, thus the pistons and rods are overloaded unevenly under extremely high pressure, sometimes up to 1,000% more than normal specs, and that is what creates the problem.

KANE!!! You need to be able to recognize the sound of detonation, and then get your foot out of it instantaneously. That is the most important thing you need to know period!!
