There is a loud ratteling or vibration noise coming from the back driver side of the engine. It only does it after the truck is good and hot.

I noticed it yesterday but it quit. I noticed it again after coming home from work. You can barely hear it outside the truck but when you open the hood it's very noticable. I did loose a 8mm socket back there and it does sound like it could be something like that ratteling. I can't find anything though. nothing seems loose or disconnected.

The truck is running perfect, starts perfect and idles perfect.

ideas please???

FYI: I did just put the eaton back on this weekend.

My guess would be heat shield around the cats or that 8 mil socket you lost

I went back out after posting this and it's gone. However I bet it does it again when it heats up.????

It could also be called a loud buzzing..this is going to drive me nuts. noises,, I hate em'

 

Yup there is a huge shield between your exhaust (Cat area) and the body of the truck. Mine would rattle/buzz at idle when it warmed up. I couldnt stand it so I fixed it
