Tranny problem

WEll i went to the track tonight to run the truck. Had it all cooled down, ready to go. Pull to the line do a very small burnout to get the debris of the tires. After the small burnout out the O/D light starts flashing. Pull up to stage and truck is very slugish like stuck in 3rd gear. WEll light goes green mash gas and doesnt do much so i let of to do no further damage and pull into pits. Check fuse box and shure enougth the Hugo tranny fuse is blown. I replaced it and everything is fine. This is the third time this has happened lately after doing small burnouts. Whatcould be wrong?

Oh and i ran a 14.0 @44 mph

go to my post ftvb problem or what on pg2 and read through that. I'm having the same problem. It has been suggested to ck o2 wiring etc. and all is fine with mine. I only have a little over 1,000 miles on my 2004. this all started for me doing a short burnout after installing magnaflows. Its happened to me twice both times when a let up just b4 shift to 2

Did you turn off your O/D? I've been told to turn it off before you race. Don't know why though.

You guys with 03-04 Lightnings need to check the heat shield around the 02 sensors, it seems that the heat shields are to close to the 02 sensors so the wires rub on the shields and after some time it causes a short. under normal driving the truck is fine, the problem usually happens under hard acceleration, a friend of mine is a fleet sales manager at a ford dealer, about a month after he bought his truck he had the same problem, blown fuse on tranny, one of the 02 sensor wires rubed through on the heat shield and when he took of hard from a stop the fuse blew. the 02 sensor was replaced under warranty and the tech bent the heat shield away from the 02 sensors for more clearance, so for he hasn`t had any more problems.

mine aren't even close to touching or rubbing. has to be something else. everything is clean and shinny under my L its never been out in wet, dirty or adverse conditions. I have followed every wire from the sensor to the contact point.

Tonight i was gonna light em up for a friend and the fuse blew I have to fix this because i get tired of having to stop and put a fuse in this truck everytime i try and spin the tires over. Anyone got any thoughts on fixin it?
