What kinda boost numbers are they running? Think if those #'s are at 8lbs. Turn it up to 12-14 and itll be even more unbelivable

Their running 12 psi bone stock on the twin screw.

It would be interesting to see what it puts out with 20-25 psi.

Are you intending to do that at some point? Any idea on how well the lower end will hold up?

Same for suavy.

Dude, no way in hell and I can afford that car, I was just saying what the poissiblities are.

About the bottem end. I think its completely forged, so it would take whatever is thrown at it.

edit - BTW, heres a linky to the Ford GT website with the updated specs.

Who's going to be the first to drop a complete 'twin-screw' gt monster motor in the L! I wonder how much a package like that woud be anyways I bet 15k--- Probably just more money efficient to have someone build up the L engine to the same potential !

Uhhh... sorry for all the posts but just noticed this too---

Weight Distribution (ft/rear):
43/57

Now how is that to drive? The front end just pushes the corners? Isn't that similiar to a 911?

Bah! It's a 4 valve, it's probably got nothing below 3500...

You're right... 911s are also rear weight biased. It turns out that a 50/50 ratio isn't "perfect" by any means.

There are far too many factors involved from the suspension geometry to the center of gravity to simply look at one set of numbers and say, "43/57 that must handle like crap"

From what I hear getting part will be difficult. You will need a GT Vin# and prove you have a car. Like the 00 Cobra R. We may have towait for the release parts for the 06 Lightning before we can make something close to the GT motor.

I hear Ford is going to release some parts in the motorsport catalog.

I know the owner of the company that made the intercooler tubing and a few others for the GT. Only 5,000 pieces were ordered by Ford. Some of that 5000, will be service replacement parts.

By the way. There were a few here that didn't believe the numbers I posted in a earlier thread that I heard from a few SVT engineers at work. The GT almost a 3 second 0-60 and a 11.0 1/4 mile car.

I told you so.... I'm held to a confidentiality agreement on future programs. I didn't argue about it....Now you know why I said what I said....lol

Nothing like being an insider.....

With a manual tranny who'd be under 3500....

I did get to work on it. But it was'nt drivetrain related..

Looking at those pics, I noticed a few things.

1st: Fords specs say that peak HP is at 6500 rpms, yet looking at the dash it looks like redline is also at 6500 rpms. It may be me but that doesn't sound right.

2nd: From looking at the engine(which is sweet as hell BTW ), it looks like it would be a bioutch to swap pulleys(if someone would be willing to after spending all that money).

Just a couple of things I have noticed.
