Probably not but I figured I would ask. This is from Ford's AU site, where they have some damn nice passanger cars. http://www.ford.com.au/showroom/pass...r_Vehicles.asp

The Fairlance and Falcon XR8 both use the 5.4, one w/ a 5speed and one w/ a sport shift auto. And WOW the falcon is sweet, I dont know why they dont bring that baby over here to knock the maxima out of the park. Would theese vehicles not comply with US emission/saftey standards?

From what I've heard, Australia has more strict Emissions laws than the U.S., but Ford doesn't want to have any cars in the U.S. quicker than the pony. (Everyday cars, not including SVT and the GT)

I would love to have a high output V8 rear wheel drive sedan with a manual trans. For the life of me, I can't understand why Ford doesn't step up with one of these in the US.

I know, I dont know what the conversion is from newtons to HP but it bet the LTD and Falcon XR8 have some strong numbers. Can anyone convert those? Im leaning toward the sportier XR8 w/ the 4V as opposed to the LTD w/ the 3V

Multiply KW x 1.341 to get HP
N-M x .7376 to get Ft-Lb

4V is approximately 350 Hp @ 370 Ft-lb.

What else I can't understand is why they get all the good styling down there... All those cars look damn good... and the stuff we get, well...

they're not THAT cool looking, I still wouldnt drive either of them for my main ride... the higher HP is nice though in comparison to the US versions.... I dont know why they dont make an F-lane here though...thats an American classic just waiting to be reborn.
