solvent to remove coating on intake?

solvent to remove coating on intake?

sanding SUCKS!

anyone know of a solvent that will remove the factory gray coating that is on the intake?

air plane stripper, paint stripper? This might work

yep, the stuff you need is called "aircraft stripper".

it should be available at a local automotive paint supply shop.

I went to NAPA and they looked at me like I was crazy asking them about "airplane" parts.

wear gloves, and goggles, it's nasty stuff.

also, you are only supposed to brush it in one direction, something about going back and forth will effect the chemical removal process?

read the directions.
