What mods to get mid 12's

Hey guys just wondering what it takes to get into the mid 12's.
Im posting this for my bro, I convinced him to get an 03 L. He only wants to spend around $2000 at first.
I told him
4# Lower
Apten Ported Eaton
Ram Air Kit (JLP OR PSP)
Predator
Traction Bars
4 inch Shackles
FTVB
Plugs
Maybe Heat Exchanger and Bassani Exhaust

Any other ideas for mod lists are appreciated
Thanks,
Simon

That list sound about right

Just get a good set of Autometer (etc..) gauges for boost and whatever else you want to monitor (Fuel pressure is a good one...)

That setup should land you mid 12's no problem.

See my sig for details!

Well I ran 12.7(full weight) for about $1500

6#
chip/predator(winter tune extra safe)
Denso IT-22's
JLP Ram Air
Catback Magnaflow single muffler system.
LFP ValveBody and Deep Pan

And I had no traction bars and a set of Nitto DR's.

Your bro will definitely see mid 12s with those mods. But, all those mods will cost more than 2g's.

mids 12 requires Slicks with a 4# lower. Very few tracks will support a 12.74 or quicker on F1s

I think the key is slicks and traction bars.

More mods and power will net you more speed at the big end, but the key is that 60' time. Rule of thumb is a 0.1 sec drop in 60' will net you almost 0.2 at the top end.

1.8 60ft times on F1's are common for trucks running 12.8-13.0 in the 1/4 mile. Bolt on slicks and you're looking at more like 1.6 sec. 60fts and a 12.5 in the 1/4.

I know that to take it to the next level, I need slicks.
