Untuned Predator?

Ordered a Predator today. vendor said I have to download initial PCM info and send it in before I can get my custom tune. Has anyone else done this? What is the reason for it?

The predator makes a copy of your Stock PCM file, and that is what the tuner modifys.

I think the biggest reason is that the truck has a anti-theft system, and each truck has a different code.

to be honest, Sal, I asked to speak with you. I know that you are busy, but hope that when I need to update programs in the future, I'll be able to speak with you directly.

p.s. that's not a dig. I've driven L's with your tunes, and respect you as a tuner. that is why you are getting my business (I'm changing tuners). Just hope you don't forget us "little guys".

Lisa is pretty good with most of the technical questions. If she doesn't know something, she'll ask me. I'm usually right there, but always doing something. So it's easier for me to answer her questions with someone on the phone while I am doing other things, than it is for me to stop what I'm doing to talk to someone direct. That doesn't mean I WON'T talk to people direct, but if I can help the customer through Lisa on the phone, I'll do that first. If it's something out of her leauge, I have no problem getting on the line. And I don't forget ANYONE. There is no such thing as a little guy to me. I treat the guy who is buying a $20 set of spark plugs with the same respect as the guy who places the 5k order.

that's exactly what I've heard, here, and locally. Can't wait to see what you can do for my truck!

I'll agree to that. Sal has taken at least an hour of his time just this week to help me out. And he doesn't even ask for a dime, sometimes I feel that I'm taken advantage of him.

He doesn't even try to sell me any of his products.

How he has the time is beyond me. Then he still has time to get online and try to help people.
