Malfunctioning Indicator Light or some call it a check engine light or service engine soon light....

Is it really that big of a difference. My tuner says 160 is too cold and to go with 170 but I already bought a 160. I live in NY so it gets cold sometimes.

MIL = Malfunction Indicator Light (Check Engine light)

Some people never have any trouble with the check engine light with a 160* tstat, others do... so just to be on the safe side, I went with the 170*.

160* here. It's been colder than 0*F here in the midwest, NEVER threw a SES light, and the heater puts out more than enough to keep ya toasty on those cold mornings.... it just takes a bit longer to get there.

There's documented HP gains from running a colder STAT.

with the 160 on my 03, the SES light comes on every two days. got sick of that and put the stocker back in, and no more lights
