Hood liner in an '04 L?

Hood liner in an '04 L?
We just bought a 2004 Lightning two weeks ago and we noticed that there is no hood liner in it. Should there be?

I put one in mine out of an Expedition (~$50). Some people say they might snag the trhottle, but I haven't had a problem. It cuts down on noise.
