03L sitting higher then 01L - Stock for Stock?

I searched and did not come up with much.

Looking at closely at my 03L tonight and then comparing it to some pics of my 01L before I did the FRPP kit, This 03 seems to sit alot higher stock for stock, and my sensation of height while driving it is also alot more then I remember in my 01?

I am going to order the FRPP kit tommorro online but will the kit drop the truck as much as it did on my 01L. The FRPP kit was perfect for me pm my 01.

Here is a shot of my 01L with the FRPP kit installed, am I going to get the same affect on my 03?

Thanks,
Bob

the '03-'04 has a higher payload capacity rating. something like 800 for '99-'02 and something like 1150lbs or so for '03-'04.

the rear springs are of a different design. so if the FRPP kit uses shackles in the rear, then it will only drop x amount on either kit. meaning if your shackles give 2" drop, then it is 2" from where the truck started. since your '03 started out being taller than your '01, after using shackles, it will still be the same amount taller than an '01 with the same kit.

follow me?

good luck.

later,
chris

P.S. my personal opinion, the '03s are definately taller than previous years, but the difference really isn't much if you measure it. but for some reason when you look at the truck it APPEARS to be much taller in the rear than it really is.
