Is there a rear clunk???

For the past month or so I have noticed that whenever I take a right turn that requires going over a slight bump, (like pulling into a drive way or a parking lot) I hear a loud clunk sound coming from the rear passenger side. Is this just one of the "normal" clunk noises we have, or is something F'd up? I crawled under there and couldn't really see anything obvious and I wouldn't really know anything subtle to look for. I do have truck traks on back there, but have only recently started hearing this. Any thoughts?

You know I've noticed the same thing. I notice it mostly if I'm making a right up an incline - like turning into a parking lot.

same noise here, i believe it happens when pulling in driveways, when the inside wheel is hanging almost or at full extension.

I get a clunk quite frequently, but to me it almost sounds like the bed is clunking/sliding or something. I have a super steep driveway, and I get it when I'm midway out of the garage (rear wheels down the slope, front still in the garage).

I also hear it around corners every once in a while... I can't confirm if it's just on right turns or not, but possibly so.

Has the rear been lowered on any of your trucks? It could be the frame hitting the rear bump stop. If so, you could probably trim it down to keep it from hitting so easily, but it won't hurt anything unless you were to bottom out real hard.

I seem to have a little clunk too ???
Even know the Ranco Bars are hitting,
this seems to be a diff clunk ??
plus it seems to be from the Drivers side rear ?

I'm thinking in my case, I have to tighten up the Bolt that holes the Bar into the rear bracket, I think there's movement where
the bushing fits into that bracket

Mine isn't lowered. The only thing that's been done to the rear-end is a bassani exhaust and a Line-X spray job.

From: Colorado,
Mine has it on left turns into a steep driveway or the like.
I am sure it is the frame flexing cause it is when it is in that 3 point stance sort of thing.

I did the clunk washers long ago. I am sure it is behind the cab.

I have the same thing also. Mine is an 03 and also has not been lowered at all. Happens sometimes when I go over speed bumps too.

You guys sure the "clunk" sound isn't coming from the trailer hitch (if you have one) hitting the reciever? I have a clunk sound on bigger bumps, but I know it's the trailer hitch because I can move it around some and get the same sound because there is some slack.

If that is the case, some people wedge things between the reciever and the hitch, I haven't tried anything yet but its an idea if that turns out to be your noise.

I got the same thing going into a right turn into a driveway or something like that. It`s definitely behind the cab and also makes the CD player skip. It all started after the install of the Lakewood Traction Bars.
