The oval peice I think he's talking about is on top of the dash. The AIR bag cover is on the face of the dash, so no worries.

You are correct, it is the piece ontop of the dash.
I am dumb, but not dumb enough to install gauges in the airbag cover.

even so it was a great idea but gauges that far away are out of the zone. you need them closer to your field of view. On another note glassing is great, very time consuming but also rewarding.

I was thinking it would fit over the steering column dashboard part, ya know? That would be sweet.
