Intercooler Cleaning.

I recently cleaned my intercooler assembly to install my Apten blower and was amazed to see the following picture below. Is this normal and how can I address this issue?

Your gonna get a ton of input on this. Better duck!

I suggest a seperator. This does'nt change the pcv system in anyway other than to pull the oil out of the air stream.

Many of the *other kits* do change the pcv system and how it operates.

Hey, That intake looks like mine. I just cleaned the heck out of it. My solution is to pull my S/C annually, clean my IC, and change the plugs.

I rep% the razors edge oil seperator,
Its been on for about 25,000 miles, and i have no oil in my intercooler/intake. I give it 4 stars * * * *

Ditto, I agree.........install a separator, and do not change the PCV system design.

.............. you can do a search...and take a few days to read
there are plenty of ideas out there.

OMG, that is sad looking.

Ditto to above comments. I made up my own separator kit(Wilkerson filter, modular series, I can get the part # if you want). The install looks pretty clean and I collect almost a full "cup" (whatever the thing holds) about every other fillup.

It is somewhat embarassing to open the hood and "transfer" oil back into the crankcase at every fill up, but its the only way I can remember.

I have a seperator on my passenger side line and dime. I still get oil on the other side of the dime. It is puddled up in the intake where the line hooks up. Ihave taken the filter off and cleaned it many times. Could running dual seperators in a series help the oil blow by? Could the dime be causing extra suction in the Line and making theoil be sucked through the seperator? I think i might remove the dime and see how it does tommorow night. I plan on cleaning my intercooler tommorow evening so i hope i can get a fix on it since it will be clean.

Leave it up to Ford to design an intake lubricating system

Seriously though, remove all the hoses for the PCV system, block the holes and put breathers on both vavle covers.
