Welcome!

The most common exhaust systems you will see on Lightnings are:
-Bassani
-Magnaflow
-Borla

I chose to weld in a Magnaflow 14468, and I love the sound.
Most people stay away from Flowmasters with the Ls.

Hope this helps!

I installed the Borla system and id sounds great under normal and 1/2 throttle. But at WOT it sounds very cr@ppy!! I just bought the weld in Magnaflow and when I get time I am going to cut off the borls muffler from the cat back and weld on the Magnaflow.

I would go with the Magnaflow cat back if I had to do it all over again.

Magnaflow or Bassanni all the way. I have the Magnaflow catback and love the looks(full stainless) and sound. It cost almost half of what the Bassanni cost and I know a guy with a bassanni kit on his L and he said that mine sounded better. Easy install... I love Magnaflow products. I had magna flow muffs on my mustang and they made great sound and power

Why do people stay away from Flowmaster?

I've had good luck with them in the past and am curious why their systems are a popular choice amoung the lightning crowd.

I have the Borla exhaust on my truck Only becuase that is what it came with. I like and I don't. It sounds nice driving around, but the tips are horriable. It has like a smaller tip on the inside of it. I don't like that. But I do want to change to the JDM setup. That sound real nice.
