'04 Lightning Seats

I have heard two schools of thought on this subject and haven't really done an actual investigation. One - Suede material is actually cloth. Two - Suede material is suede and woven material is a synthetic fiber. Which is correct ? Second, how do you protect your seats from damage due to soil, spills, etc ? Third, what do you clean your seats with in the event that there is a spill ? I know alot of questions from a newbie, but go figure I have only had the truck for 3 days and its been raining since I bought it.

seats are alcantara like was stated, textured material is leather...I even checked the backside to make sure.

I put about 3 "coats" I guess you could say, of the 3M automotive scotch gaurd... I dont eat in it, but I did spill some yoohoo on the middle of the bench portion...I freaked a little but to my suprise the chocolate delight rolled right off the seat...wasnt even wet when I touched it... damn good stuff, almost everything 3M is awsome
