Flowmaster Exhaust?

I am still trying to figure out what exhaust to slap on this bad daddy!

What about true dual 2 chamber mufflers? Anyone tried this.

From what I have a gather from the majority of you, the Bassani Cat Back system is the loudest. What do you all think?

I am not going to do headers or mess with the cats this early in the game.

Thanks!

This is my favorite sound clip. It captures the Flowmaster sound quality perfectly. It'll really help in your decision.

Thumbs up

I agree. I had two flowmasters on my 99L and hated them. There was too much resonance inside the cab at 50MPH. When I got on it it sounded like a UPS truck. I now have two dynomax polished stainless super-flo mufflers and love the sound. It rumbles at idle but barks when you get on it.

LOL, that made me need to go to the washroom

I have a Borla cat back and just orded a Magnaflow muffler to replace the Borla muffler. I love the tips on the Borla system as well at the sound at 1/2 throttle acceleration. But at WOT it sounds like a$$.

Lightning Ken,

Thanks for your input! Is there a noticable difference at idle vs. the factory set-up?

Does anyone know of any good sound clips I can check out?

Thanks

Cool

XZ06,
It rumbles a little more than the stock muffler at idle. I don't have headers or high flow cats. If you have them it will be a little louder than mine. I also have the bassani tips on my system and it looks sharp.

My vote is Magnaflow, magnaflow, magnaflow. its has a great low rumble around town and at idle, but at WOT it opens up and gets killer. Also my friend has a Bassani Catback and my Magnaflow catback is noticebly louder than his set up. Plus if you go to mark at LFP it'll cost you 369+shipping.

I run the Spintech Pro Street and they sound mean but the could be my high flow cats or could it be mt X pipe or could it be the Long Tube Headers or could it be the 3" exhaust? I don't know but for me and my racing club well all the L's in it we run Spin Techs of some form or fashion. THe have great sound clips on their web page.

wow, thank you all. this forum is most helpful, i am pleasantly surprised! Bassani seems a little pricey so i was glad to hear that the magnaflows are most comparable! thanks guys!

ND4SPD,

i am living in Andrews, Texas. About 30 miles north of Midland/Odessa, Texas. I am about to be moving to Sanderson, Texas, one hour south of Ft. Stocton. You?
