Question

Tim, do you have any dyno #'s for your porting that you can post?
I've seen the #'s from Apten, and I know that you said "we charge $299.00 for the same service." just wondering if you have the same #'s also?

Unless the bearings and gears are replaced on every core returned, they have the miles on them that the owner put on them. Not to say they are bad, but visual inspection cannot pick up the wear on a bearing surface, and measuring them (bearings) would entail disassembly, which no one does. Therefore, unless these measures are taken, the "unit" has more miles on it than most later year vehicles.
There are times when we do replace bearings and seals on core units. There are ways to estimate mileage based on rotor wear and other signs within case (oil condition, etc). If we know that we have core with less than 5K miles it typically will not need anything. It is very clear on disassembly if you have a 5K mile core or a 40K mile core. If we have a core returned with a known higher mileage it will be taken out of circulation and sold on ebay. PSP is selling our products now too, and we will make sure that cores that customers purchase are high quality. The plan is to have customers end up with cores that are as good as, if not better than what they are sending us. I can think of about 10 cases in the last month where we actually send out brand new superchargers as cores.

the porting service that we offer gains around 40HP and 2-3psi shown thru our dyno tests and our customer's results

Brian

Brian, I do understand that you get around 40 RWHP, and I've only heard good things about you and Apten. I was asking the question of Tim because they are a good vender and only a short drive from my house, but before I make up my mind I would like to see the #'s.

Tim, the absence of your reply makes me assume the your not getting #'s anywhere close to 40 RWHP, or are you?

Sorry for the delayed post, but I don't get a whole lot of time to sit in front of the computer.

According to customer feedback, we get about the same #s. The last one we did (Lightning) was 32hp and 26ftlbs of torque throughout the curve. Every truck is different and every truck has different mods, so numbers do vary up and down.

We've done quite a few of the Cobras and get similar results.

How many other mods can you get that kind of power from. I know the s/b t/b for 400+ is the best bang for the buck (sarcasm off now) but 300 for 30+ isnt too bad.

Lets see...............$10 for each hp..................that means you got:

45hp for a heat exchanger
45hp for a s/b t/b
42hp for an electric fan
119hp for long tubes
99hp for a converter

Well, you get the point.
