Max power from the Works 112?

I'm thinking of getting the Works 112. I know there is more power w/ the 140 or the KB at high boost... however I believe for the street I think the roots rotors of WP112 will offer more torque quicker at lower boost levels. In other words it will be a "more fun" blower for street use. Being that I drive my truck more than any other vehicle that is important. For the track I plan to use my existing NX system to up my power to the bigger blowers. That's my current plan anyway.

So based on that plan I was wondering what is the max power the 112 could put out without nitrous. I read in MM&FF where the Magnum Powers did 560rwhp STD and saw on the forums where the truck has run 10.9s with it. I pretty much have the same built engine setup and did 520rwhp STD with my home-ported Eaton. Could the WP112 (same rotors at the MP?) on my motor put out the same power as the Magnum Powers? Could it be more? I've never seen any post on what the best the 112 can do on a built motor, max boost, w/ fuel system upgrade. Any thoughts?

Oh and I do plan to port the WP112 before putting it on. It won't be as nice as Apten's work but I think I do a pretty good job... and it's free .

The 112 I doubt is even being made anymore. I had heard that Works had just completed all orders that were placed for the 140 so unless someone stocks one, the chance of getting a 112 is slight. REM probably has a few though.

I think the most I have seen is about 530 with cams and heads. Probably the same if not less than what all was on the "fridge" that motor had alot of stuff engine wise to attain that power level. I think with the right engine combo and tune, 560 is pretty realistic from the 112.

You might want to ask Dale-01L. I think he had the highest HP 112 truck. I think if your going to upgrade you might as well go with a KB or 140. With your setup the 112 might not do much. It's a great charger though.

Nothing to port on a 112. It's already about as open as it can get.

There was a guy with a sweet black L with HRE's from Indiana with a built motor and a 112. Don't know if he post here or not but his truck was at REM and really had a wicked torque curve at only 13#'s of boost.
As an apples to apples comparison Myself and Jewishlightning had all the same mods sans the KB/112. On REM's Mustang dyno I bettered him by about 30 RWHP but I was lower almost 40 in the torque department at 15/16#'s of boost. Both trucks are stock motors so you will outdo both by 50+ in both HP and TQ.

I tend to agree with your thinking if you can get a 112. If not beleive me the the KB has plenty of torque down low.

Here's mine......

Here's Neils.......
