I threw a rod running something similiar. Remember to get a VERY SAFE program for your NOS, as well as change your platinum plugs. IMO, and experience, you are playing with fire, and like me, could end up buying a built block....which isn't soooo bad (other than the monster c/card bill!! )

And the other end of the coin is, I run 4lbs plus 75 HP of Nitrous
plus 16 degrees of timing and have never had a problem.
"YET"
I've even ran 6lbs of pulley and 75HP of Nitrous.

Lightning, I HOPE YOUR TALKING A WET SYSTEM ???

Let the records show, once this PE goes on
(Thats the new Abbreviation for Ported Eaton)
it's official, I read it here.
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=145487

Once it goes on, I will prob tune down to 65 Nitrous HP
and 4lbs of pulley, and still go faster. That 18-20 HP I'll take
off, should be replaced with 30-40 HP thanks to the "PE"

I went with JLP strictly because of reputation. It was either with John at JLP or Sal at PSP, but at the time, PSP didn't know exactly when they would start building their next batch of built blocks. JLP uses all top quality parts (manley rods, CP pistons etc..) and I have heard of nothing but good things. Also John is a great tuner.

Rob 02 is a great example of knowing his truck and making sure the RIGHT tune is on it. And by the sounds of it, he is fully aware that when you have NOS on a stock block, you can't run a 6 - 8 lb pulley with a 100 shot +...you have to adjust your thinking with NOS. You can't go big on everything, unless you have a built block.

JLP is an AWESOME choice of Built Blocks, as strong as anyones,
10 sec proven, and currently thee fastest Lighting on the Planet.
And actually priced better compared to many others.

JLP is a great Company, and so are his products, and Johhny's tunning has been awesome on my Lightning
And some day if it does happen, I'll be crying to him to cut me
a deal on one of those bad boys for myself

Your right quickcanuck, I truthfully should have NEVER ran that
11.81 using 6lbs + 75HP, but I wanted to close the season
with an 11 so I pushed it past what I still feel was safe.
TG it held and all is still well.

The thought of the WASP (ported eaton) is to make more boost,
more efficiently, with less Pulley and cooler inlet temps.
If I ran twin 12.0's the same day at full weight w 4lbs + 65HP,
I can run 11's with a little weight reduction and the same set up
with the added PE (Ported Eaton) and my new Bars, and FTVB.
If I need 75HP to assure that, fine, but no more 6lb Nitrous runs

So this season I aint really going for better numbers,
just the same numbers with less stress on the motor.

Sounds like good intentions and advice Rob but I bet if someone lines up against you...

Nothing else matters but winning. You are a true competitor

Thats true EZGZ, but there is always someone out there with somethig bigger, better and faster, for example some tweaked out Cobras running 10's all day. If I line up next to someone and they beat me by a length, I am not going to increase my shot just to prove a point. I know I could, which is all I need, and I am not going to put myself in the position I was in before, that being seeing oil flow underneath my L and the sound of the rod flapping against my block! Like Rob said, it is all about running the block with the least stress possible..and talking to everyone, NOS adds a lot of stress to a block if over done.
