Well after alot of thought I think I am going to purchase another L as I should have never sold my 01. I am bidding on this 03 DSG on Ebay that looks clean as hell, and Im hoping to get it for less then 23k. I am going to have my dealership purchase the truck so I can just trade my 04 Accord for it and get the break on the taxes due to the trade in.

Are there any "new" issues (ie spitting plugs) with the lightnings that I may not be aware of? I have been out of the scene for awhile.

Its going to get a full treatment of my favorite mods.

1. filter
2. flip chip
3. 6lb lower
4. ftvb - 4x4 pan
5. frpp lowering kit
6. defi gauges
7. expy center console

After I get married later this year and they get finished with this damn house im building I will get more aggressive with the mods.

Any input on new mods. ect ect.

I remember your 01 Silver "L". You did a nice job with that one. I'm sure you will be happy with the 03 DSG. They fixed the spitting plug problem in 03 with a new head design. Good-luck on the 03.

i have a 03 dsg L. Completely stock......spit 3 plugs at about 3,000 miles. i wouldnt be so sure the problem is gone yet.

 

Hope everything works out and you are a L brother again.

 

JimJR, please provide more info. Did you have the old style heads and if so were they upgraded after this problem? This is the first time I have heard of any 03's spitting any plugs.
