BLOWER REMOVAL....How hard is it? Any special tips?

After seeing all these dynos of 30+ HP through the entire range with the apten,I feel this will put me right where i want to be.I will have approx 430rw hp at around $1200 bucks! Thats the cheapest permanent 80hp i think you can get.I really think the chip/pully,intake,apten is the best bang for the buck!!I will order a FTVB also.

I am going to do the removal/install myself,i need help. AINT no SRT 10 gonna beat my $31k(after mods)Lightning

Good post.

I wanna do the same thing in order to have a fighting chance against my buddy who just bought a 2000 GTS Viper.
Right now I run 12.6@107 with C/P/F so hopefully a ported blower will land me in the low 12's.

But with the new house and wedding I will have to take the blower off and on myself. Can't be to hard.

Thats funny,i have a C/F/4#P and I run 12.6s @106all day long on slicks. What i am looking to do is be able to run the same time on a decent launch on street tires and have a fightning chance on the highway with a vette once in a while.

Ya it's not hard there is just some time consuming things you have to do (i.e. rear blower bolts). But I followed the step-by-step on this thread here AZLOC Supercharger Removal with no problems. If you're not removing your intercooler assy. then you don't have to do anything they say to do with the CAC (charge air cooler). I just went ahead and took mine out though and gave it a nice cleaning...gave me something to do while the blower was gone. Also I went ahead and replaced all the gaskets before I put it back together. Definately an awesome mod...good luck

its not very hard... but if you take the blower apart.... make sure to cover those two bearings in the back of the blower that hold the rotors!!!! i just send out my blower case to Magnuson to replace the bearings because i wasnt careful and got some crap in there.
