Sorry to hear that. How long ago did you get yours? I have heard a COUPLE complaints about the ********, but they were because of the packaging they USED to do didn't support their lid very well. From the guys that ordered theirs last year I haven't heard any issues

 

I took delivery of mine about two months ago and it arrived in good shape. I'm very impressed with it's quality. Yes, the fiberglass isn't as smooth as good steel panels but the paint application is much smoother than the factory paint. I ordered it w/o the edge trim for smooth edges. The edges don't seem to get any paint but since mine is white and the fiberglass is white, it's not noticeable when looking from down low, up at it. Might make a difference in black.

 

Almost 30 lids sold, so don't pass this up!
