Lightning/SRT Video Response (Video)
awesome video man! thats classic...im downloading that and saving it!!!
on to the other subject...
stock vs stock? who cares?
if they choose to leave their srt-10 stock, then theyll lose, when they start modding, they might win. stock vs stock means nothing. i could go race a integra and loose my a$$ cause hes pushin 400 hp, i wouldnt cry that hes not stock.

Man that video SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just as you start to get into it the damn thing ends…
Excellent video…
Back to the drawing board for Dodge, they need to first actually design and build a truck that will compete with a Lightning, then they need to actually make it a “real” production truck that can tow 5,000lbs, then they can talk.
Until then Dodge boys you all should stock up on Kleenex because your going to need it…

I honestly think we need to wait a little longer than 1 race to start bashing here. I know most of it is in fun and all, but really. One guy screws up a run in a srt-10 and everyone wets themselves. LOL

I guess this is going to start some s#$t on this board and I own a Ford so this is a totally unbiased opinion, this race is an apples to oranges comparo. There are factors to take into account when comparing the two trucks:
Lightning is an auto, SRT10 is a 6-speed so you have the shift factor.
Lightning sits on 18" alloy rims and SRT10 sits on 22's and chrome. (rotating mass and weight difference)
Lightning is 4600 pounds and SRT10 is almost 5300 pounds
Question also is in the race, did the Lightning have on drag radials?
The quote for the SRT10 of the 1/4 mile at 13.6 is actually .5 of a second more than Motor Trend got on one of the recent test artcles. The 13.6 was an estimate before one was even track tested
by any mag and was a manufacturer's estimate.
That being said, if you take an SRT10 and just put 18" alloys and drag radials, the race would more than likely be a bit closer than many think. Go ahead and say it, "For 45,000 it should be quicker than that." Right or wrong for a 5300 lb truck with 22's to run as quick as a stock Vette which is 2000 lbs lighter is pretty good.
Yes, modded L's are beasts and that is true but when someone who knows what they are doing gets a hold of an SRT10 and drops down four rim sizes and then begins the mods, this truck will be even more of a beast than it already is.

Dear SRT 10 owners. How about a nice hot cup of shut the F**K UP.
I'm not going to give them anything but my tail-lights. The big bad Lightning slayer is a JOKE!!! I've listened to this SRT crap and I'm sick of it. SVT designed me a beautiful, blazing fast truck. PVO or whatever it is dropped the ball!
