Angry Burning Diesel smell?

I was at the local Arena the other night , and my truck was running because I had it on automatic start. Anyways, Some fu*ck in a old rickity beat up Diesel Dodge pulled up becide my Lightning and put it on high idle with his snow brush proped against the seat and gas pedal.
Now the interior of my truck is absolutely ransid . I figure that old Piece was sitting there about 20 minutes before I discovered it.
How do you get the smell out? If it doesn't come out can a insurance claim be made?. Ironically enough I wrote down the company name on the truck down and the plate number. Some how I don't think this is insureable .

If you park your truck inside you could try an electric fan to air it out, but that is just a 6am idea.

My father always used to ask me what time of night I came up with some of my ideas.

Yep. Febreeze
A few sprays of that & some fresh air usually does the trick.

just take it somewhere you trust to detail the interior, tell them you want the seats and carpet deep cleaned. I dont know what else you could even try, just be sure they will be careful with your *suede* seats

FreBreeze or whatever its called has never worked well for me... I dont like how it smells to boot

I've been around diesels all of my life and the only way to get the diesel smell off of something is to wear it off. So on that note get the heaviest jacket you've got and start riding. Good luck

Thanks for the reply guy's. I got bigger fish to fry now. It is -37 C up here right now and the water pump went AGAIN . I was in the middle of no were and tried to baby the truck to Edmonton and completely *****ed the motor. It is at Healy Ford right now, there going to start the work sometime in the next couple of days.

I never had a cell phone, Just a dog . I started walking got some frost bite but as I loose my patience with this fiasco of a truck I have everything is going to fall in to place in court now for my damages.

Tell me one thing? How am I supposto keep my feet about my heart level for 2 weeks? Lots of rest the doc says. Being it was froze to the extent it was I need lots of circulation.

By the way I guess I' am a cop now. They gave me a cop car to drive. A 03 CHEV IMPALA . Were home family.

If it wasnt for bad luck you would have no luck, now here is the million dollar question. What do you consider f^cked up ? The reason I ask is because all 5.4s even the Lightning have what is called the Fail safe mod. Our trucks are tested to run something like 50 miles with no water in the system, this is in 90-100(32-37 C) degree heat. Your in Canada with -37C (-32 Degrees F) I would say that you could prolly go even further that the 50miles. With air that cold and boost disabled it would be easy to air cool our motors.
