Typical simple minded dodge fools.

Also explains why there is no 7/70 warrantee on it.They knew beforehand what was gonna happen.

For those of you who think ford is going with a 6 speed,You are in for a big surprise.I would NEVER spend 40k and have to shift something manually other than my tow trucks An automatic with paddle shift would be the best!! probally the way it will come.
Rumor has it that the Viper equiped Ram SRT-10 is going to be very limited, thus holding a very high value as a collector item. They will then switch over to a supercharged hemi that will be very comparable to a Lightning. It will be interesting to see what Dodge has by the time the 3rd generation Lightning comes out.

I think the last part of your third sentence is puzzling. I will take it to the S-2 in the morning. J/K

Here is an SRT10 on ebay that didn't meet reserve. When time ran out it was $44,100. That's less that sticker and it is at a Ft. Worth, TX dealer.

It may be a overpriced piece of crap but to ridicule the design is wrong on lightining owners part, just in the fact you folks have problems keeping a spark plug in the cylinder head. That sounds pretty ridiculous to me; sounds like dodge isn't the only one skimping to get a product out. Not a flame, just an observation.

True that. The spark plug thing was a bad deal, but that and the head bolt thing is fixed. I still would like to see dodge put an auto in the srt-10. Would be a street monster then.

Not really because it just is not designed to be a truck from the very beginning. It cannot tow anything so that already takes the “truck” designation away. So I guess the question really should be is what the hell did Dodge “try” to design?

Perhaps one answer is an overweight Viper with a “truck bed” that will eat clutches and keep transmission shops very busy and profitable…

Back to the drawing board for Dodge to try and come up with a real “truck” that might one day actually compete with a Lightning, because at the moment Dodge has no “trucks” in their line up that come close to competing with a real “truck” a real performance “truck” the Lightning…

I think that will put the Dodge right where it should be. It's becoming quite apparent that the Viper drivetrain is the wrong choice for a 5000lb truck. A supercharged "hemi" should give those things the low end grunt that they need.

I have to scratch my head over the whole slicks thing. Maybe my memory is not accurate, but weren't there no suitable DR's for the Gen2s when they came out? Only 16" wheels would fit around the brakes, and there was no selection of slicks in 16"s, so people had to shave down their calipers for 15".

Yet... people are still throwing trash on the SRT that slicks won't fit it. My, how quickly people forget sometimes.

Two fast trucks, both running good times, both with reliability problems, one just uses a supercharger and auto, the other a big block and manual.

This is what the Dodge boys are saying. They can't/won't believe it happened. Some of these guys don't have a clue
