well, it's really more of a SRT-4 (neon) forum, but I posted it over on SRTFORUMS.com

maybe they should have just called it the Dodge S-10?

chris

yes I know, actually there's NOBODY on that website period.

I counted like 12 posts on the entire website! pathetic.

that's why I posted on SRTFORUMS.COM, Not srt10s.com.

srtforums.com is predominantly a NEON or SRT-4 website like I said, but it has a viper forum and a srt ram forum.

unlike srt10s.com though, srtforums.com actually gets some traffic.

did you try the link? http://srtforums.com/forums/showthre...threadid=34246

Looks like a new forum ... Since its ONLY dedicated to the SRT10 Trucks and they are just now hitting the streets its not surprising to see few posts.

Lightbulb During this test

http://www.trucktrend.com/oftheyear/...nce/index.html

they got a 1/4 mile time of 13.1@107mph for the SRT-10.

There was also an interesting test, comparing the performance of the trucks when empty, and when carrying 1/2 of the rated payload. The new F150 had the smallest drop in 0-60 and 1/4 mile performance.

It also was the only vehicle that showed a DECREASE in stopping distance when loaded...

Your telling us that he blew the motor and they replaced it? And two clutches in two weeks? Do they have Viper motors just laying around for replacement?

This is for the Dodge boys who thinks the driver had a heavy
modded truck.
If they think these mods are heavy, They got another thing coming to them.
Most of us are running 4-6 Lb.pulleys w/ performance programs.

Anyway, Here is the drivers #'s for Dyno / 1/4 mile.

Nice Kill,
I agree that SRT MUST HAVE had problems.

But FYI
In only the past few days, I have already heard of a BRAND NEW Hemi Dodge blowing a Motor, and Now a BRAND NEW SRT 10
As for Clutches, I don't care how good the Disk + Plate is,
launching that kind of power and torque is gonna be killer on a stock clutch with the weight of that Truck

I guess it's Dodge's turn to play wrrnty cop

(if we are to believe what we're hearing) ???

I did a very unofficial timing of the Lightnings run with my stopwatch. 13.2 is what I got. He probably ran between 12.7 and 13.2 officially FWIW. The Dodge was clearly 2 seconds slower than that at a minimum.

He obviously had problems...The #1 problem he had was he lined up against a Lightning!!! Thats a problem they will never fix
