Nitrous oxide in Kentucky

Just thought I'd post this incase you run nitrous in Kentucky. Becareful you guys who travel to the NMRA event or Sport Truck Shootout in Bowling Green later this year.

http://www.lrc.state.ky.us/RECORD/04RS/HB230.htm

(1) As used in this section, "nitrous oxide system" means a device installed in a motor vehicle that allows nitrous oxide to combine with gasoline for the purpose of increasing engine power.
(2) A person shall not operate a motor vehicle equipped with a nitrous oxide system on a highway, unless all canisters of nitrous oxide have been removed from the vehicle.

Next rule: No vehicle will have any forum of Boosting air intake and not engines larger then 6L in a non work-truck form.

SO what do they want you to do if you drive your truck to the track and have it on your truck? Take the bottle off or will having the lines be illegal too.

Sounds to me like having a vehicle equiped with a nitrous system and carrying bottles will be a violation of law. It doesn't sound like it would matter if the bottles were connected or not. If you have a system and you have bottles you'd be in violation of the law.
That is just my interpretation.

If in doubt just run.

unfrigging believable

BTW
Who rights these Red Neck Rules, a Kindergarten Kid

(1) As used in this section, "nitrous oxide system" means a device installed in a motor vehicle that allows nitrous oxide to combine with gasoline for the purpose of increasing engine
power.

(I guess a dry system, with a Nozzle in the Air Filter is Legal)
(Or using it to drop the Inlet temp, NOT TO INCREASE POWER

(2) A person shall not operate a motor vehicle equipped with a nitrous oxide system on a highway, unless all canisters of nitrous oxide have been removed from the vehicle.

(I guess all you have to do is take the side streets)

Those laws are so short and simple, yet they have more holes
in them that swiss cheese. Any Lawyer will have a picinic with them. If Mayberry RFD was to play the "too much power card" then whats next ??? no aftermarket parts may be driven on a parkway, hehehehehe.
And if they play the "dangerous gas card" then they will have to stop every person from throwing a 20lb BBQ tank in their front seat next to jr.
