rollinlimp, i made a box that has about a 1 1/2" gap inbetween the sub and the floor, ill attatch a bad drawing (with dimensions) and some pics so you can see what i mean.

the 10" fits in there with about 3/8" clearance on each side. its tight, but i had to trim it down to get it to fit in the console without messing with it too. im keeping it stock looking on the out side.

excuse the messy fiberglass, i just put that last layer on tonight, so i havent got a chance to sand it.

i made the box about 2" below the armrest so i could still use this peice, its the easiest way i could think of to still hold the back of the console together at the top...



the box will have a bottom peice of fiberboard that will give me a place to mount the aft bracket that goes into the floor bracket...

im going to leave the armrest on there so itll look stock from the outside...

the top peice of the box,im gonna do a fiberboard rim/plexiglass window combo so youll be able to see the sub from the top if you open the armrest...

hopefully whatever i use will keep it from rattling...ill post more pics when i get done sanding all tht fiberglass...in 5 months!! haha
