Traction issues/ lowering truck
Traction issues/ lowering truck
Just wondering; some of you guys that have lowered you're truck. how much traction is lost? I'm thinking about doing this, but don't want to give up my 1.8's(60 foot) on my goodyears.
I lowered mine and I will tell you that it will hurt you 1/4 mile tima and your 60' but I hate the way the truck sits stock so it is something that I can deal with. I am not trying to be the fastest just trying to get to the mid 11 sec range!

It is basically suspension travel and weight transfer a 1.77 60' time is not a great time it is alright but not great. If you look at all of the 10 sec trucks none of them I believe have lowered there trucks! My best 60' is 1.76 ( which Sucks ) Look at lets say Rob 02 I think he has cut 1.6 something on a 11.81 pass!
Hows that for props Rob

less weight transfer.its weird,i get better traction with my 2" drop shackles but it seems if you go any lower, the suspension doesnt transfer the weight good..Plus with drop springs in the front,They are ALOT stiffer resulting in verry little weight transfer.
