apten or kenne belle??(calling apten)

Heres the question of the month. If someone was looking for an extra 30-40hp and didnt want to have to build a short block,Isnt the apten the only real choice.I understand that some of you guys want to run 10s and 11s but im thinking for 4-5 hundred bucks,This could be a great (inbetween) blower?

my questions for apten is does this decrease the temps of the charge?

Would i expect to lose boost or gain boost along with the power increase.?

Is it really true that if i am running a 4lb pully and a chip/intake and i am currently seeing 400rwhp,That i would actually see a 30rwhp gain from this mod and at what rpms.Does it come on all at once or is it spread through the entire rpm range.

I dont care what you do to make the power unlike some, but are these gains real?

Am i going to lose low rpm torque?

the last thing to say is if it is a high rpm power increase ,from what I have witnessed with kenne belle trucks, those are too.

Sounds like a good choice for the ones that dont want to run the risk of a kenne belle on a stock block .Although i feel at 430hp,You would have to be walking a pretty thin line and would need a safe tune.

basically instead of spending $3k on 100 hp,You would only be spending $500 for 30-40hp with similar results for street trucks

I think the supercharger porting is probably a good alternative. If you want to crank up the boost the eaton will never compare to a KB or lysholm, but at lower (stock block) boost levels a ported eaton will give you nice gains. If you had that done, you would probably see 1-2psi boost increase. You also get lower intake temps, usually around 10 degrees lower. That's because our larger outlet design allows air to flow thru more of the liquid intercooler. the 30RWHP gains are real, we've done a bunch of same day before/after tests.

The KB is an excellent product, and in no way to I want to make it look as if I am saying negative things about it. But based on what you said, I think having your eaton ported would be a good alternative.
