Boss 351 Proto

If the Boss 351 V-10 Prototype Mustang gives any clue to what Ford will do to stay on top then I'm not worried in the least about what Dodge can do.
Check MMFF.

some of you are so square .You hate to admit there is something faster.Reminds me of how the dakota R/T boys used to act.Face it it is faster stock and by all rights it should be.as i said before,If you think a 500hp truck is not going to run close to 12s with a good driver, you are crazy.

No i would never but a dodge of any kind and I agree a lightning is a MUCH better overall truck that can be mildly modded to smoke one of these. But on the otherhand its time for the excuses to stop. For now,the dodge truck is faster stock, get over it.There will always be exceptions to even this rule but .............

On another note,I absolutley cannot wait to line up with one with my automatic chipped/pully/filtered Lightning which cost me around 29k (with mods brand new) and smoke the ***** of one of these owners who buy it just for braggin rights.

Also i agree the average SRT 10 owner will probally not be able to drive this truck correctley anyway.there are so many viper owners that cannot drive.Therfore street races are gonna be so much fun.

At the track with good drivers it will be a good race with very slightly modded Ls doing some whoop a$$ on them.

With any lightning owner on the street,It will be easy for the l owners to whoop their ***.

Stock for stock on the strip they will be faster most of the time.

I don't know why its times surprise anyone. Sport truck ran a 108 trap with their test. We already know Vipers dyno around 430-440 to the wheels with similar drivetrains. You guys know what you run with the basic bolt-ons and 400 rhp and less weight. It should be no surprise to anyone that it should be a driver's race with a stock SRT and a bolt-on L.
True, the L may be a better value, but you will get exclusiveity with the limited number of SRTs and the Viper engine. It will matter in terms of collectability and value.

The Darts???? Yea, but they're not mine. Just something I wish I COULD have. I love 'em. I had a 69 Dart 340 and loved it.

The prototype Boss 351?? Wish I could have that too.

Man, I have a neverending car wishlist.

Viper engine............LOL................ I can't even get my friend with an '03 Viper to race me let alone this SRT-10. You can stuff any engine into any vehicle - doesn't mean it is going to go anywhere. Another rush to market by one of the big three only to prove how awesome the L really is!

When are they going to learn? For $45k you can buy and L and mod it to a low 11, high 10 sec beast.

D-Day

for 45k i can take a civic and push it into the 9's maybe less.

I always disliked that arguement. Once the mods start it's just a matter of who has more cash.
Not really directed to you, but just a general statement.

SS wasn't made to compete with the lightning tho. I think it ranks more with the HD F150.

No offense but I doubt that. It may hold resale value better then a lightning but I cannot see it becoming anything more then that, especially in the area of collectability.
