When my truck shifts into second at WOT, there is a very noticable "shhhhhh" sound. It seems like its coming from either the center of the truck or just off to the passenger's side. This is my second FTVB and the first one didn't make that noise. This is a custom VB from Gregg that he quickend up the shifts on. My fluid level is fine and like I said it only happens at WOT. Should I be concerned?

 

"shhhhhh" sound . huh... not sure what that sound sounds like but are you sure you are not just hearing belt slippage either from the serpentine belt or S/C belt? I go this sound/happening after install of the FTVB.

 

it very well could be belt slippage. What does that sound like? Is there anyway I can tell it thats what it is?

 

Well, on mine the belt sliipage sounds like i'm chirpin the tires when I shift. I can tell belts are slipping cause there is belt dust on the inside of the bulleys themselves. I just bout Gator belts for SC and serpentine but have not installed them yet. Supposedly the Gator belts will possible relive the majority of the slippage.
