I think everyone should use this disclaimer in their signature. It is in TX SVT LIGHTNING's signature over on NLOC.

Disclaimer: All Ford corporate employees, Ford dealerships, Ford service personnel or employees, family, friends, or acquaintances thereof: This in no way constitutes an admission or acknowledgement of tampering, modification, usage, or alteration of any vehicle in my possession or component thereof in such a fashion as to void, cancel, deny or otherwise refuse service on any service contracts, warrantees, or recall notices covering said vehicles. This and other posts submitted on this Internet forum, under the screen name TXSVTLIGHTNING simply represent an attempt to gain acceptance from a peer group espousing vehicles of a high performance nature - especially those that have been altered to improve, enhance, or otherwise modify the automobile's natural characteristics. Any statements, claims, or graphical representations made that would constitute a violation of any contractual agreement are to be considered fictitious and not to be accepted in any court of law, or similar environment mediated for the purpose of dispute resolution.

I'm not sure it would work, but it sure sounds good

Didn't really care. My dealership covers my truck period. If Ford says no, my dealer still fixes it ... but I changed it just for you

i'm not terribly concerned with warranty, I don't think ford will be warrantying my manley rods or cp pistons anytime soon anyway.

besides, If you look closely, I didn't post my VIN.

LOL, you fell victim to the old Charlie Dog Dik Zebra trick. (sorry, parts department joke)

later,
chris

I wish we had a dealership around here like that.

Do you know somebody that works there? Are they that mod friendly? Heck it would be worth a drive if I had something major that my dealership wouldn't fix.

They warranty the moderate bolt-on type stuff. If they do the mechanical install of parts they cover the truck within reason as long as you don't do anything too extreme. NAAAWWWWS is NOT a bolt on If you blow your motor with a 10# lower and a blue bottle, they won't cover it. 2-6# pullies, chips, valve body type mods, airkits are all ok.

They have their own SVT performance shop at the dealership and vend parts from 2 of the major tuners here.

And yes...I know EVERYONE that works there and am on a first name basis
