How Hard Do U Drive?

I was wondering if I was the only one who drive's his Lightning pretty hard. Usually on my way to work which is a 10 mile drive the truck gets floored about twice on the way and about twice on the way back........evey day. Since I bought it, I can't remember one time that I did not get into the boost at all during a single drive. It is not my intention to abuse my truck, it's just so damn fun to drive hard. Any inputs?

I used to drive like that. But after many a transmission rebuild (5 total) I figured it's not worth it anymore.

Besides I have a family w/children and taking it easy is actually a pleasure in life. I'd say on avg I only see 4 psi of boost as a max most days.

With 6lbs of extra pulley and a JLP Cool Air,
I see @ 6 - 8 lbs backing out of my driveway

I beat mine alot when I first got it,
but now almost 2 years later, I save most of my WOT
for the track. And even there it's not un-normal for me
to spend hours on the road, and then make 1 or 2 passes
and then go home. ( But I do make them count )

Don't get me wrong, I've had a ton of street races,
I do get on it daily, but usually only 1/2 throttle or so,
and not for too long at once, maybe a gear or two.
I could respect this beast and get yrs of Performance
out of it.
Or I can bring it home in a box at any given moment.
The choice is Mine (I HOPE)

I doubt seriously if your gonna come across someone that drives harder than I do on a daily basis. I believe in that motto, "Drive it like you Stole it" And I definetly do. since Feb, I've put 11k miles on it, including a 3000mile road trip where the cruise control was set at 90, and still not a single problem. You should be ok.....just when you get a chip or retune make sure your tuner knows that you get on it the way you do so they can make the tune a lil bit safer, maybe a (couple)degree(s) of timing or some extra fuel.

That sucks SlowSVT, sorry to hear that.

I drive like a grandma. I don't crack one MPH over the speed limit. No lie, this is coming from a 18yr old too.

I started my drive home from work last night sideways . Last thing I saw as I left the facility was the guard-gate completely buried in f-1 smoke!!! And the two butt-hole guards that were talking spit lost in the cloud!!!

One word.... Moderation.

I drive it like a granny when that's what is called for to be safe. When I have some open room, I've been known to open it up a little. You couldn't call the way I drive "beating" by any means. I have to fix what breaks.

In traffic I am usually very restrained and relaxed, but if I get a bit of wide open road I give her some juice (which is usually about two or three times a day)

Well, I'm not that bad... lol..
I haven't driven my truck in over a week, so I finally had to do it today even though I still have my arm in a cast.... I never knew something could hurt so bad yet feel so good...
