A complete waste of time

Spent the entire day working on the lightning to get it to glow.Started out with a nice sudsey bath of Dawn to strip her down. Then dried it up,and gave it a good clay bar scrubbing.Followed up with another wash and dry.Moved on to a Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing lotion for the first coat.Followed by a Klasse AIO for the second coat. Then finished it off with the Pinnacle signature series for metallic paints carnuba.

Um....I can't even tell I did anything!!!!Okay the truck is clean, but I certainly didn't get any more shine/gloss for an entire day and three coats of wax on...wax off.

I am a full fledged, card carrying Zaino member for my black GN.I did try the Zaino before using the three part process I used today.(just on the hood)I couldn't tell any difference with the Zaino either.I guess silver is just not meant to ping and ooze gloss like black paint.

I wish I would have gotten a black one now

Unhappy

Sorry to hear about your Zaino experience. I too have a Black Lightning and it's very hard to keep clean. Once cleaned properly, all Black Lightnings looks the best. They all look menacing and aggressive, but when they become dirty, they are the ugliest color to have. Hope things get better for you.

I have a silver XLT flareside and 3 – 5 coats of Zaino Z2 (not Z5 which is for dark colors) and it has a very nice shine and depth to it. I get many compliments on it and even from the dealer.

After I put a few coats on I follow with the Gloss Enhancer. Are you using the Z5? Maybe that is what you used on the black and got a nice shine, but I didn’t find it did real well with the light color of silver.

Z2 is for clear coated paint...Z5 is the swirl mark remover

Z5 does very little to nothing for swirl remover, it is recommend for dark colors, and Z2 is recommend for light colors…
