Put my Magnaflow catback on today

Took my brother in-law and I a few hours (well me a few), the both of us about an hour. The outlets on the magnaflow muffler do not line up well with stock cat pipes. Took some prying with a jack handle and some torque from a buckle strap to line it up right. Ironically it was quite easy for me to get the stock u bolts off. Only reall hard part was getting the stock system out of the insulators. The system sounds great and I do feel like I have lost some low end torque but gained some hp on the top end.

Congrats man.
I know the feeling you have, and oddly enough had the same problems when I put mine on.

If you unbolt and rebolt the cat pipes together like in the instructions, there shouldnt be any problems. Some also loosen the drivers side cat pipe at the manifold.

You'll love the sound! Just wait till its nice and broken in!

Good choice..I have the magnaflow as well and I love it. The tips are a whole lot easier to clean.

I am extremely pleased with mine............. what a great sound! Next step, dump the stock cats - go high flow and let that magna flow roar!

Now that you mention it, there is this guy that comes into my work who has a 1st gen L. He used to have a first gen and had some bassani hi-flows for it. He said he will give them to me for free! Think they will work on my 2nd gen?

It is certainly worth a try if the pipe diameter is on I can't see why not? Then again I am far from an exhaust pro!

Congrats on the Maggy, love mine, and the others are right about the break in. Give it a couple of weeks and it gets even better.

bassani high flow cats = catco cats

As long as the inlet and outlet are close they should work.
