My fiance and I picked up a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer with a 4.6 V8 last night... Does anyone make performance parts for this? I guess it can't be much different than Mustang parts. I was going to start with a drop in K+N air filter, as I really don't want an open element air filter on this thing.

A full intake kit is the way to go. The exhaust is pretty expensive for the Explorers. I'd recommend a blower. I tease my wife about installing one on our Explorer, but we'd then probably have to call it an "Exploder".

 

My wife has a 03 Eddie Bauer 4.6 V8. The only thing I did was put a SS Gibson exhaust and a 9" S&B stack filter on. It made a nice power improvement.
